Kept it simple with the white button-up and Rag & Bone leather leggings...

not to mention her golden locks are ON POINT!

Oily, Flat Hair...I HATE IT!

one thing I can't STAND is flat, oily, lifeless, limp hair...YUCK!  My hair is EXTREMELY thick, I get it from my dad's side, and I thank him for that LoL!  When I was younger, I couldn't STAND for my hair to be BIG and poofy, and full of body.  It made me feel like I was doing too much, like I was about to be in a pageant, like I had "Texas Hair" lol!  Well, as I got older, I started to appreciate what my father passed down to me, my THICK, FULL-BODIED hair, LOVE IT!  The SECOND I feel it getting oily, and separating, and not holding girl, just GROSS...I HAVE to wash it, I just HAVE too!  

Well, I had heard this before, if you don't have the time to wash your hair, baby powder is your answer!  A quick fix for those oily roots,  just apply a small amount of baby powder to the root and scalp area. Massage into the hair and fluff excess powder out. This absorbs your natural oil AND it leaves your hair smelling baby clean!

When I FIRST saw this pic of her with the hair color change..the FIRST thing that came to mind, as far as what she looks like, was TRASH!  I just DID not like it.  She looks washed out. she looks BLAH!

NOW as I look at it, creating this blog post, she doesn't look THAT bad...her features don't look so hard, she has a lighter look to her, I must say...so I TAKE BACK the "trash" comment people LOL!

 

I STILL like her better with the darker hair, the darker color.

I LOVE her and her sisters with dark hair, it looks SO PRETTY when it's curled too!

 SO...I've decided to do something BIG!

Well this is big in MY BOOK...

I, Charis Shreill, have decided to STOP getting perms.

Now this is HUGE for me, because if ANYONE knows me...they KNOW I can't stand nappy hair lol

But then again, just because I'm not getting perms, doesn't mean my hair is gonna be nappy.

I'm gonna go for the natural thing, I know flat irons & hot combs are going to be my 

BEST FRIENDS (or so I've heard)

I live in Texas, so I KNEW I couldn't start the process in the summer.

My hair would poof up so quick with that humidity & heat, it would NOT be a good look AT ALL!

I have EXTREMELY thick hair, I get it from my dad's side of the family, and it is a BLESSING...

So far, it's all good.  My last perm was September 10th, so I'm proud of myself.

One thing is for sure, I will be getting weaved up on a regular basis...

that's def a POSITIVE to the whole process...i LOVE my weaves LoL!

so....The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards came on last night, it had it's ups & downs of course, BUT when I think of The Grammys, I think of over-the-top performances that will BLOW MY MIND!

Well, my girl Bey performed, OF COURSE, and HONESTLY, I REALLY expected something BIGGER.

She came out with the army, had that Janet Jackson "Rhythm Nation" vibe goin' on, and I'm thinkin' she is about to just ROCK IT OUT *blank stare*....it was OK.  And THEN she sang, "If I Were A Boy" smh!

I mean don't get me wrong, she did REALLY well, BUT it wasn't as exciting as I thought it was going  to be, and that's just MY opinion, y'all know I STILL LOOOOOVE Bey, love her! But I mean I just wanted to state that, LoL!
