I've gotten into wearing blush lately, this year A LOT! It adds that extra "jazzy" look to what I'm going for, NARS is pretty popular, and Sephora was calling my name one day, so I decided to answer the call!
Walked out with this, and a few other skin items, I mean I'm never against trying ANYTHING new...

I love warm colors, no matter what I'm talking about, they just go so well with just about anything.  This color is subtle, but it pops on my cheeks and the golden glow is the BEST!

I have the most PROBLEMATIC skin EVER!  I try my HARDEST to keep it from looking oily, minimize all those damn bumps on it...UGH!
SO...sometimes you gotta "break bread", get the best to get the BEST results, so I went to good ol' NEIMAN MARCUS, but PLEASE believe I didn't spend my money, I mean I've NEVER stepped foot in there, EVER! I mean I never had a reason to.  ONLY reason I went there is cause my mom had a $40 merchandise credit there, so OF COURSE I said, "Mom?! Can I have it PLEASE have it?!" *smiling*
I hear a lot of good things about Bobbi Brown products, so that's what I went with...

(it's for oily skin, so you KNOW I said, "Throw it in the bag!")

So far I like it, has a nice, soft finish....good coverage

I DO try to step outside of the box every once in a while, splurge a little...SO FAR I'm loving the results! 

DFW Blogger MeetUp...my 1st event!!!

I started the year off right, as far as MizzScoop is concerned...I went to my FIRST blogger event, DFW Bloggers MeetUp!  Beautiful ladies, doing beautiful things with their blogs, it was a BLAST!!!

We WERE going to dine at La Duni, BUT they wanted to act a little funny with us...

NO PROBLEM THOUGH!

We POLITELY took our business, money, & HUGE appetites to 

Lombardi's Cibus

it was JUST as nice, and the atmosphere & decor I LOVED...our waiter Don was AWESOME too!

Brunch specialty...BOTTOMLESS bellinis AND mimosas.  I WENT with the bellinis and they were SO GOOD.  Not to sound like a lush or anything, but girl talk along with food..I didn't even NOTICE that I enjoyed a good 3 of them LoL!

she did a wonderful job of putting together such a great Saturday event

Ms. Ivonna shared her french toast...the berry compote & hot syrup were DELISH on top!

I'm trying to bring out the "foodie" in my, so I stepped WAY outside of my box & went with the 

Cibus Benedict, which was:

Two Poached Eggs on a Grilled Polenta cake / Lump Crabmeat Topped with a Creamy Parmesan Sauce Served with Sautéed Spinach / Roasted Potatoes...I added mushrooms, LOVE THEM!

....on such a BEAUTIFUL afternoon, the sun was just a shining!!! 

and now, off to the Dior makeover part of the day...they had the tables all set up for us, demonstrations ready, SO many products for pretty much ANY and everything, and EVEN the red carpet...it was REALLY nice!

not only did we get a FREE makeover, got to play with everything, experiment a little here, and a little there, we ALL got a $25 gift card, which OF COURSE was the BEST PART of the day...RIGHT LADIES?! : )

So what did I GET?!

keeps the eyes poppin' ALL day, EVERY day!!!

OVERALL, as you can see, the DFW Blogger MeetUp was GREATNESS...I met some LOVELY ladies, ate some GOOD food, and laughed & smiled the WHOLE time...

so, I FINALLY tried out the red lipstick on my "soup coolers" and I really do like it...what do y'all think?  I went to M.A.C. yesterday and honestly I was SO nervous that I would look like a freakin' clown, LoL!  Well, the WONDERFUL Mr. Larry, did a MARVELOUS job and made me look BEAUTIFUL (well, that's what my mom, and my roommate, and my girls said...lol)!

 

first he applied the matte, which was what I wanted and was looking for, lip color, Russian Red to be exact.  Then he lined my lips with the lip pencil, Burgundy, to fill in the corners & spaces, then so that the red color wouldn't look "dated"& old, and to finish it off, he used the shimmery, pinkish Love Alert Dazzleglass gloss on top of it all to blend the liner & the lip color....and VOILA, PRESTO...vibrant RED LIPS!

That's OUT OF LINE!  Heidi Montag was ALWAYS a pretty girl to me before ALL that surgery, when she was on MTV's Laguna Beach, cute girl, and I LOVE and WANT her long hair so bad (I know, I know, I can go buy it, cause clearly it's not ALL hers, LoL) but I want it to look like that EVERYDAY! I guess that's what happens when you're a celebrity....get someone to do it for you EVERYDAY...lol

I HATE WHEN THAT (above) happens...that's why I hate the wind, cause it blows my hair, UgH! LoL!

Is there a specific matte brand or style that you like? Nouba is a lipstick that I love. It’s a blue-red lipstick with a little gold shimmer in it. I also blot it with a tissue and then I put powder over it—and then it stays. And stains are perfect too. [Especially] The Benefit stain.
