my girl, love her to DEATH, she's just AWESOME...Mrs.Katlynne Lasalle @ MyDownlowLife, y'all should REALLY go follow her. I've been following her since the day I started back blogging, and I can't take my eyes away from her & her tales! She' just so real & down to earth, and just an awesome person at heart. Mrs. Lasalle decided to write a book.  A very personal book.  Not only does she talk about her VERY personal & private life of hip-hop, love, relations, infidelity, lust, & passion on her blog, she lets it all out in her new book...Life On The Low: Creepin' With Hip Hop and under another title, same book, Her Husband Made Her Do Him.  I personally can not WAIT to purchase this book, I'm a reader & I support EVERYTHING that she's doing...you GET IT BOO!

TRUE Friendship!

this is a HUGE milestone is his life, something that ALOT of people can't say they've done.  He's a WONDERFUL man, sweet as can be, a big kid at heart, a loving & caring father & friend...I'm talking about MY DAD, former Dallas Cowboy, Mr. Everson Walls.

Today, November 3rd, is a BIG DAY for him!  His book, A Gift for Ron: Friendship and Sacrifice On and Off the Gridiron, came out today and we're hoping & praying that it does well.  I guess you could call it his "memoirs", but the main focus, and what he REALLY zeroes in on is his friendship with my godfather, his BEST FRIEND, Mr. Ron Springs, a former Dallas Cowboy as well, whom he, my dad, gave his kidney to.

Amazon calls it "A Brian’s Song for a new generation … "

I haven't read it YET, but I DO plan on reading it VERY soon...he said it's REALLY good, I believe him of course, LoL! We will see, I just wanted to share this with you all, something near & dear to our hearts =)

Chivalry is NOT dead!

scrolling through ConcreteLoop and I see they've posted something about this book BEREOLAESQUE: The Contemporary Gentleman & Etiquette Book for the Urban Sophisticate by 27-year-old Enitan O. Bereola II (hence the title BEREOLAESQUE....he's a GENTLEMAN ladies!)

Just from what I read about the book, it's basically trying to teach that scrub, thug, triflin', no good BOY how to straighten up, fly right, have some manners, pull up your pants and present yourself in a chivalrous way, like a MAN should do....alriiiight!

In my opinion, EVERY individual of the MALE species, should go pick up a copy...nobody's perfect, and there's ALWAYS room for change ;-)

L.O.L. Book Club is BACK!

Yes, you read right, L.O.L. is BACK, we has a little, well a LONG summer hiatus, BUT it's that time again, and we are SO EXCITED! My girl "CD" will be hosting, and this is her FIRST, so this is going to be PURE GREATNESS =)

Either way, it's going to be SUCH interesting convo for this meeting because FIRST, we all love to talk and are all such different individuals, we're pretty much all over 25, lookin for "The One', and deciding what we want to do with our life to ensure that we are satisfied with EVERY decision we make....this is the time where we should know what direction we want to go in in life.
