Steel Magnolias (2012), the remake of the 1989 comedy-drama about the trials & tribulations, ups & downs of six girlfriends in Mississippi, will premiere today on Lifetime...it's gonna be LOVELY
M'Lynn, Sally Fields original character, will be played by Queen Latifah, Shelby (M'Lynn's daughter), Julia Roberts original character, will be played by Condola Rashad, Truvy, Dolly Parton's original character, will be played by Jill Scott (MY GIRL!), Ouiser, originally played by Shirley MacLaine, will be played by Alfre Woodard, Clairee (Ouiser's nemesis), Olympia Dukakis' original character, will be played by Phylicia Rashad and last but not least, Annelle, the new hairdress, Daryl Hannah's original character, will be played by Adepero Oduye...an AMAZING cast!
