I'm gonna do it...you ready hair?!

SO...I've decided to do something BIG!
Well this is big in MY BOOK...
I, Charis Shreill, have decided to STOP getting perms.
Now this is HUGE for me, because if ANYONE knows me...they KNOW I can't stand nappy hair lol
But then again, just because I'm not getting perms, doesn't mean my hair is gonna be nappy.
I'm gonna go for the natural thing, I know flat irons & hot combs are going to be my
BEST FRIENDS (or so I've heard)
I live in Texas, so I KNEW I couldn't start the process in the summer.
My hair would poof up so quick with that humidity & heat, it would NOT be a good look AT ALL!
I have EXTREMELY thick hair, I get it from my dad's side of the family, and it is a BLESSING...
So far, it's all good.  My last perm was September 10th, so I'm proud of myself.
One thing is for sure, I will be getting weaved up on a regular basis...
that's def a POSITIVE to the whole process...i LOVE my weaves LoL!
So WISH ME LUCK y'all....I KNOW I'm going to  need
P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E =)

Good luck! It may be a struggle but the results and the health of your hair is worth it!

Yayyy! I made that decision too. my last one was some time in the first week of September because i wanted one fresh for my bday. lol. Im in need of one bad but i just gotta keep telling myself that my hair will be better off without them.

I decided NOT to do the big chop until my hair is atleast grown out to shoulder and I hate weave so this might be a struggle.

Good Luck!

Best of luck to you! My hair is like lamb's wool and although I've toyed with the idea of no perms...I'm WAAAAAY too tenderheaded. I cry if you look too hard at my hair LOL. Go for it!

Good luck! My last perm was October 2009; I transitioned for 9 months and finally said enough (the two textures wasn't working) and I big chopped. Just got a pair of scissors and did it myself!

I have to tell you, I have the thickest, kinkiest hair. And I LOVE IT!!

my Chi iron has already been a lifesaver lol...and my hair feels a lot lighter ALREADY and it moves a LOT...I can DEF tell a difference...and I LOVE weave, so I can't wait until I get that in, and when ALL of the perm grown out and just the WHOLE end result lol
