The State Fair of Texas is HERE!

it's the month of October, and here in Dallas, TX many people look forward to ONE THING...

THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS!

Every year, during the WHOLE month of October, you can enjoy food, fun, games, car shows & concerts, BUT the thing that I look forward to the most, and I KNOW I'm not alone is all of the

FRIED FOOD!

Pretty much ANYTHING edible is dropped into grease and put up for competition, it's AWESOME!

I JUST started trying all of the fried creations last year, or the year before that, and this year has been the best so far.  My list includes:

fried banana pudding

fried honey bun

fried Oreos

fried cheesecake

fried pineapple upside-down cake

FRIED BUTTER...AMAZING!

fried frito pie

I THINK that's all I've had SO FAR

Now on my TO-EAT list is:

fried peanut butter, jelly, banana sandwich

fried Texas cookie dough

fried biscuits & gravy

fried pepperoni pizza

and I'm SURE once I get back out there to the fair, I'll find something else to try LoL

Now, everything fried is NOT pleasing to me, and here's the NO-GO list for me:

fried bubblegum - bubble gum flavored marshmallow, dipped in batter, lightly fried and decorated with a swirl of icing. A final sprinkling of powdered sugar  to complete it :-/

fried BEER, yes BEER

As you can see, some people try to fry ANY and EVERYTHING to win a prize and win over our stomachs lol....I'm SURE I'll go to the fair AT LEAST 3 more times, I mean I only go to EAT and people watch, they BOTH make my day lol...
